Recording of A Survivors story Sunday, Jan 24, 2021.

Rabbi Avremi Zippel is a Utah-raised Rabbi, serving the local community since 2014. In February 2019, Avremi testified about the decade of childhood sexual abuse he endured at the hands of his family's babysitter, as part of the criminal proceedings against her. His testimony made him the first Orthodox Rabbi to ever speak out publicly on such a topic and sparked his career as an advocate and activist for survivors of sexual abuse around the world. Rabbi Zippel is a program director and spiritual leader at Chabad of Utah, together with his wife Sheina.

By telling his story, he hopes to show the world, and especially the Orthodox community in particular, that survivors can be resilient, successful and strong. This will be a very emotional and encouraging evening.
